At the end of March Frank and I went to see a dance show titled iLuminate at our local Bankhead Theatre. I have been remiss in not posting about it sooner. We had great seats up close as shown in the diagram.
Per iLuminate's website, https://www.iluminate.com/about-iluminate/
iLuminate is a company based on the fusion of technology and dance. This distinct intermix will reawaken your senses and imagination! We are a diverse team of experts and together we create a visual experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
Audiences will see dancers in electrified glow-in-the-dark suits performing dynamic routines and illusions on a darkened stage. It’s a show that’s completely unique to our brand and incomparable to any other dance performance.

Per copyright agreements I could take no photos but I copied these photos from the website. The show is slightly over an hour with no intermission and completely in the dark the entire time. Frank and were mesmerized by the effects of dots of colored points of illumination artfully attached to dancers. With the artfully applied lights on costumes and technically linked audio and visual effects, it was fun to see legs dancing without torsos and bodies upside down relative to other body parts. The performance was very cleverly done and the music was varied, bouncy, and catchy. Dancers came from all genres: break dancing, ballet, salsa, ballroom, acrobatics. The show was loosely woven about the story of three key dancers trying to convince their way onto a entertainment club. We thoroughly enjoyed it and persuade you to make the time and see it when it is in your area. Check out the
iLuminate website for the tour dates.
